Q. Do you offer development work?
A. I focus only on design work, but I have several contacts in the web development industry that I would be more than happy to refer you to. In today's market while many companies look for a one-stop shop there is still a very large niche for smaller companies that prefer to have design work done one place and then take that coded (HTML/CSS) site to various developers to 'shop it' around. This can be very beneficial in some cases where budgets do not allow for complete web development from A-Z.
Q. What kind of pricing can I expect for my project?
A. That entirely depends on what you want to accomplish and the time it would take to do so. For a logo anywhere from $150-$300 (don't quote me on that ;) and 2-7 business days and for a UI application anywhere from 30-70 days. Scope of project has a lot to do with pricing. If the customer comes with a very clear idea of what they want to do it (ex: a non-dynamic website with 3-5 pages) it makes understanding the entire scope much easier therefore pricing is more accurate. However when projects are sort of vague (ex: a website that has a video library and the ability to edit every piece of the site from a user admin panel) then it's best to sit down and work together on what you as the customer want to accomplish for an hourly fee when the project commences. Design work is one of those things that can go in many directions at once but I've worked with lots of customers and developed an understanding of hearing what the they want. So i've been around long enough to be able to find solutions (which is more important than the 'how') for customers on various types of projects, meaning i'm confident I can find a solution for you. I offer one free hour of consultation to aide you as the customer in figuring out what you want so have no fear and let's dive into your project
Q. Do you offer rush service?
A. Depending on my current schedule I can advise you if taking on a rush project is possible, but I am very flexible and fast as is. However if you need a project done in half the time that usually ads an additional 40% to the project because I have to put my personal life on hold (sometimes) and that incurs a cost because let's face it life is short and time goes by way too fast so in all fairness to my family I up the cost on rush services everytime, caveat emptor.
Q. What if I don't like your work do I get a refund?
A. No. The reason I don't offer refunds is the same reason I do offer a portfolio and references so that you can see my past work and check with people i've worked with in the past. However in most cases (usually first round of designs) I would offer you the customer a partial refund of the initial down payment if you were to back out, because things happen i get it and i try to be flexible and have good faith in the project and the customer.
Q. What are your payment terms?
A. I work with a 40/40/20 on projects that I design and code (HTML/CSS) which is 40% down before I start. After design phase 40% to begin coding phase. Finally 20% when after final approval but prior to final delivery. I send production notices at all stages of the project. When it's only design I do a 50/50, that is 50% prior to beginning the project and 50% upon final approval of the work but prior to delivery.
Q. What payment forms do you accept?
A. I accept direct deposit (I'll email you my account information), check mailed to my bank (I start work upon receipt of check), paypal, visa, mastercard, and american express which i accept through paypal. I won't begin any project until down payment is received.
Q. What if I just want a quote or have other questions?
A. Contact me by email, or through the contact form, or call my on skype by clicking the button at the bottom of the page.
